They are pressed from vintage molds and then ground, painted, and painstakingly detailed by hand. The paint is permanent high-temperature fired enamel. These buttons have a wonderful 3-D quality and high relief detail. They have an illusion of depth and a luminous glow from reverse. The 1890's mold used makes the glass look faceted and it features two dragonflies in art nouveau style. Each measures approx. 42mm (1 5/8") wide and has a metal loop shank. The button is crystal and is hand painted on the front in antique bronze, black and ruby red enamel. *****This is an exclusive and limited edition button that is produced exclusively for us. We own the antique mold and design all of the color combinations and paint finishes. They make wonderful embellishments to clothes, knits, hats, crafts, and can even be used in jewelry making!!
