You are buying 3 cuttings of the plant "Crassula pellucida subsp. marginalis 'Variegata'", or AKA Calico Kitten. Each cutting will be 6 inches long. It is a low-growing, spreading succulent plant, up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall, with small, fleshy, heart-shaped, red, green and lemon variegated leaves. The flowers are white or near white and appear in late spring to early summer. The leaves turn red when stressed, such as during the summer. If kept in shade, they turn green. Note: These pictures are under ideal condition. They are less vibrant in real life, but nevertheless very pretty.They are great grown in a pot and allowed to trail over the sides. The ones you receive will be less vibrant, more green (like the 2nd picture), because we prefer not to stress our plants. They ship better. You can stress them when you grow them, to get the nice red look. Full growing instructions will be provided.Please note: we have increased the handling time due to the winter weather. This allows us to hold the shipment until the weather warms up and it is safe to ship. However, if we find that the weather is warm in your area, we might ship earlier than indicated. The leaves are heart shaped and contrast their bright flowers. This plant is perfect for a garden, house, or ground cover plant. Sunrose bloom all summer -- you might even get some this year! Just stick in good potting soil to root, and keep the soil moist but not soggy. However, this plant is NOT frost tolerant. Unless you live in zone 10 or higher, bring the plant indoors during the winter if possible. Or take a few cuttings to overwinter and plant next spring. We will give free gifts until our supply runs out. If so, we will substitute it for another succulent variety. NOTE: If you order more than one quantity of this item, we will give one of the free item described above, then for additional free gifts, we will automatically substitute for other varieties of succulents.
