I'm not 100% sure what type of tape drive it uses as there are no markings. It connects with parallel port and one of them has some black markings in the parallel port so I would not use it unless it has been repaired or at the very least tested by a professional. Selling as is as the enclosures are pretty cool, could be turned into something or reused somehow I'm sure. Please note they are fairly heavy and with two of them the shipping will cost at least the price I have.
