The island’s ubiquitous Red Crabs join in the fun, along with a variety of birds, including dancing Brown Boobies, Christmas Island Frigatebirds, White-tailed Tropicbirds and Red-Footed Boobies. Three endemic Christmas Island Blue-tailed Skinks watch from the trunk and fronds of a nearby coconut palm. Now extinct in the wild, these small reptiles have been making a comeback in captive-breeding programs on the island.
