Description: SWEET JOE PYE WEED. American native wildflower. Thrives in shade to full sun. Attracts all kinds of butterflies and Bees. A tall good-looking plant. Pretty much carefree after established. Lots of 8"clusters of tiny pink flowers at the top of the plant. Blooms all summer into fall with a strong vanilla scent. SWEET JOE PYE has a very long-life span (10 years+) once the root system becomes established, they can be divided after 3rd year and beyond. SWEET JOE PYE will spread through reseeding and an extensive rhizomes root system. After the growing season is over cut SWEET JOE PYE down to the ground, and in spring new plants will pop up from the root ball and start growing. Grows fast and gets very tall in full sun or shade with steady water. SWEET JOE PYE is hard to find in the wild anymore, but usually grows in woodlands by a river. SWEET JOE PYE WEED likes steady water but will tolerate some drought. 200+Quality seeds per order. Thank You!Some American Native Wildflower seeds need to go through a cold winter to germinate. This plant is one of them. They do this so the seed won’t sprout in fall, only to have the seedling not make it through a cold winter. I have stratified these seeds to simulate a cold winter(stratification) This raises the germination rate considerably.
