19th C. French Dore Bronze Frame Miniature Portrait, Signed (#3)

Description: Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for a beautiful 19th Century high quality miniature painting on porcelain portrait of young woman in Period clothing with lavender flowers in her long hair. Portrait is mounted in a gorgeous dore bronze Napoleon III frame with ribbon and bow with flowers at top. The frame has elaborate embossed design covering the entire surface and a decorative embossed bezel framing the portrait. The oval bezel is mounted in the center of a very worn deep emerald green velvet fabric mat. The frame has an easel back with an old wire attached for hanging as well as a ring at the top of frame for hanging. The wire can be easily removed, however, we are leaving it there as it probably helps the frame to hang more level should you wish to display it hanging. There is an illegible artist's signature on the left side of the painting that we were unable to identify. Frame measures 7 1/4" long and 4 7/8" wide. Portrait site measures 2 3/4" long and 2 1/4" wide. Weighs 10 ounces. The porcelain is in excellent Estate condition with no noted damage or flaws. The dore bronze bezel and frame are also in excellent condition. The green velvet fabric is original to the frame although it is very worn. This can be easily replaced should you desire to do so.
