Description: Up for sale is a large, antique map of "THERESA, NEW YORK". Prepared by the Army Map Service (AMTV), Corps of Engineers, U.S. Army, Washington, D.C. Compiled in 1951 from New York, 1:25,000,AMS, Sheets 5872 III NE, SE, SW, and NW, 1948, which were photo-planimetric revisions, utilizing 1947 aerial photography. This map measures approximately 19 x 22 inches, including the border area. On the reverse side, it is blank. The map has nice coloring to it. Lots of color coding to represent various attributes - different road surfaces, buildings, barnes, greenhouses, railroads, national boundaries, State boundaries, towns, woods, vineyards, marsh, military reservations/camps, etc. Map is generally in Good- condition. It has been stored in a roll for many years, so it naturally rolls up now. The map has some wear and browning. There are some creases and tears around the edges of the paper and other stains along the edges. There are creases in the corners and the paper is "crumpled" in some places around the edges. There are other creases and dings here and there, as well. This map is a great piece of history! It will look very nice when framed. Please see my store for other great items.
