1936 D 2 Reichmark German WWII Era Silver Coin LOW MINTAGE

Description: Munich Mint only produced 840,000 of this coin. (Very low mintage) These 2 RM coins are some of the few remaining authentic relics of Hitler's Nazi Germany. After WWII ended and the true scope of the atrocities came to light, the process of de-nazification was given priority. Part of the process involved purging all Nazi symbols, in particular the hated swastika, from the public domain. Many coins were destroyed, making the mintage numbers irrelevant in many cases. (a lot of the Mint records did not survive the war and are unknown) Quality survivors are increasingly scarce. Thankfully the only thing to last a thousand years for the Third Reich will be some coinage! Printed on coin rim: Gemeinnutz geht vor Eigenutz (common good takes priority over self-interest) You must grade yourself from pictures of actual coin. From Grandpa's eclectic collection.
