Description: 1935 P-D-S INDIAN/BUFFALO NICKELS #BN22 GOOD OR BETTER CONDITION The so-called Indian/Buffalo nickel was designed by sculptor James Earl Frasier (his “F” initial appears below the date), and it was coined from 1913 to early 1938. He used three Native Americans to model for the obverse: Iron Tail (Sioux), Big Tree (Kiowa) and Two Moons (Cheyenne). The reverse actually shows an American Bison rather than a buffalo! These coins are often considered our “Most American Coin”! Offered here is a trio of 1935-dated examples - one each from the Philadelphia, Denver and San Francisco Mints. I believe these coins grade Good or better condition.The photos I provide are scanned - gray or white specks on a coin or surrounding area are caused by a foreign bit of dust, etc. being on the bed of my scanner.
