Description: Around 1925, Optics Legend Bushnell of Berkley California threw their hat into the Moto-Meter ring. It was late in the game as Boyce of Long Island City held a monopoly on the product with strong patents 1914-18 involving anything with a thermometer looking tube. Thus, Bushnell had to come up with something entirely different. Which they did: This is the Junior Arro-Meter. An arrow that points to "Cold", "Normal", "Summer" and "Danger". This is a non-functioning sample that is missing the front round glass. The glass is very different than those of Boyce Moto-Meters which offered thick beveled glass. Bushnell Arro-Meter basically used a thin plate glass. Very rare to find one of these "Off-Brand" Moto-Meters especially since I have a feeling that not many were sold. Meter sits atop a brass Ford Model T dog bone radiator cap. Threads nicely onto the top of an original Ford Model T Radiator Tank which is not included in the sale. Also the round marble base is also not included in the sale. Some one is reproducing the thin brass Arro-Meter plates inside the meter. Those reproduction pieces (2) reproduced will set you back $235. In this purchase you get two original plates, original surround/parts with a cool Model T dog bone base.
