Description: This is one of many great vintage & antique items I'm currently listing from various estates. Please take a look at my other merchandise at your leisure. You are bidding on: Historic Photograph "The Pulp Mill Below the Village" Black River, New York ~ c1900s-1910s ~ This rare 5x7 inch image was photographed at Black River NY in the 1900s-1910s by the documentary photographer Henry M. Beach. Please note this contact print was made in the early 1960s - some 50 years after the image was taken. The now 110-year-old original glass plate negative could now be lost or broken or further degraded. If a real photo postcard still exists of this same scene - it would have been cropped to fit a postcard view. So - this print could be the only surviving, full-sized 5x7 image of this particular historical place and time. Henry M. Beach (1863-1943), famous for his postcard views, was a prolific and accomplished photographer from upstate New York who documented NY's North Country during the first quarter of the twentieth century. His most prolific era was from 1907-1917. Images I'm listing from this collection of over 300 Henry Beach photographs are primarily focused on individual towns and resorts. These 60s era prints were created by a New York collector of Beach's glass plate negatives from his personal collection and only one or two prints of each subject were ever made. **Multiple photos purchased at same time ship for the price of one** Print Measures 5 x 7 Inches. Print In Very Good Condition: Please Examine Scans. Shows Some Edge Wear & Possible Corner Creases. Please see photos for further details Thanks for Looking and Good Luck BiddingSW4JC
